Job Title: ROV Operator
Location: Dubai
We are seeking a skilled ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) Operator to support subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair projects. The ROV Operator will be responsible for the deployment, operation, and recovery of ROV systems in offshore environments, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and adherence to safety and operational protocols. This role is essential to ensure successful underwater operations and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of subsea project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate and maintain ROV systems and related equipment for underwater inspection, maintenance, and repair.
– Perform pre- and post-dive checks, ensuring all ROV systems are fully operational.
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ROV operations in real time.
– Monitor video feeds and data acquisition, accurately documenting findings and observations.
– Work closely with offshore teams to execute project tasks in alignment with specifications.
– Ensure proper handling and storage of ROV equipment, maintaining readiness for next operations.
– Follow strict HSE protocols, ensuring all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
– High school diploma or technical certification; an engineering or technical degree is preferred.
– Proven experience in ROV operations, ideally within the subsea sector.
– Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of ROV systems, including electronics and hydraulics.
– Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly in challenging environments.
– Knowledge of offshore safety standards and protocols.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., IMCA ROV certification, BOSIET).
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with adaptability for offshore assignments.
